The publication pointed out that its history started as a place to protect and preserve the mural Canto a Martí (A song to Martí), made in 1976 by the Mexicans Luis Nishizawa and Mario Orozco Rivera.

That very huge painting represents Latin America united through the thinking of the Cuban freedom fighter and among the characters that appear in it, there is Martí himself, Benito Juárez, Simón Bolívar and Camilo Cienfuegos, it added.

It reminded that the doors of the Cultural Center remain open for the people and therefore it is not strange that while its terrace is the stage for concerts, inside there are theater performances and visitors enjoying the exhibitions.
