According to Granma news daily, in the fraternal meeting, both leaders exchanged opinions about topics of regional and international interest and checked on the status of bilateral relations.

Also present in the meeting was Dexter M. Rose, ambassador of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in Havana, while Cuba was also represented by Vice Presidents Esteban Lazo and Carlos Lage as well as Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque and the Cuban ambassador in the neighboring Caribbean nation, Olga Chamero Trias.
