The two heads of state reviewed the excellent bilateral relations and expressed their desire to continue to broaden and strengthen them. They also discussed issues of the regional and international scene, reports Granma.

The Cuban delegation included: Carlos Lage Davila, vice president; Felipe Perez Roque, foreign minister; Marta Lomas Morales, minister of foreign investment and economic cooperation; Marcos Rodriguez Cosa, deputy foreign minister; Armando Vergara Bueno, Cubas ambassador to Qatar, and Enrique Enriquez Rodriguez, director of the North Africa and Middle East desk at the foreign ministry.
