Cuban Vice President Esteban Lazo Meets with Former Malaysian Prime Minister

Cuban Vice President Esteban Lazo met on Monday in Havana with Dr. Mahathir Bin Mohamad, former Prime Minister of Malaysia.
According to Granma news daily, both leaders exchanged ideas about topics of national and international interest.
They spoke of the role of Malaysia and Cuba in the strengthening of the Movement of Non Aligned Countries and also in support of peace, against terrorism and for a better world.
Lazo and Mahathir also referred to the possibility of further strengthening cooperation and the development of economic relations between the two nations.
Also on Monday, the visitor met with Fernando Remirez de Estenoz, head of the Foreign Relations Department at the Central Committee of Cubas Communist Party.
