The Prima Ballerina Assoluta Alicia Alonso and the Cuban National Ballet in Egypt
Alonso declared in Cairo to the Spanish press agency EFE that "One never finishes projects definitely, so I am thinking of living 200 more years in order to do everything that I still have left to do."

Alicia Alonso assisted to a performance of her company of the Don Quixote ballet by the composer Ludwig Minkus, with the main roles in charge of the first dancers Viengsay Valdés (Kitri) and Rómel Frómeta (Basileo).

The Pyramids of the pharaohs Keops, Kefren and Mycerin were exceptional witnesses together with the Sphinx of part of the show of the Cuban company.
"It is magic. It is a place with an incredible past where art is present next to a fabulous history. It is a privilege for the public," expressed the dancer who said that despite her age (86 years) she tries to travel together with her company every time it goes on tour.

The Cuban National Ballet will also present another performance of Don Quixote in the city of Alexandria, and afterwards it will travel next April 14 to Spain, were it will start a tour around several cities, including Valencia, Barcelona and Leon.
