Tribute concert to the Cuban legendary singer Rita Montaner for the 50 years of her death, in Cuba

The tribute will beheld at the Palacio Nacional de Bellas Artes and will have the participation of the singers Rosita Fornés, considered the biggest Cuban vedette, and Omara Portuondo, the diva of the Buena Vista Social Club.
The singer Miriam Ramos and the artist Carlos Ruíz de la Tejera, 2006 National Humor Award winner, will also take part in the tribute.
Rita Aurelia Fulceda Montaner y Facenda, known worldwide as La Única (The only), shared the stage with prestigious Cuban and international figures.
Some of the best composers of her time wrote songs specially for her, such as Gonzalo Roig with Cecilia Valdés, Moisés Simons with El manisero, Eliseo Grenet with Ay Mamá Inés and Ernesto Lecuona with El cafetal among many others.
Rita Montaner is considered one of the greatest Cuban artists from all times. She worked in theatre, radio, cinema and TV, reaching great national and international success.
She was the first singer to be heard in the Cuban radio.
She received great applauses in the USA and Europe. She died in Havana the 17 of April 1958.
