The essay writer Graziella Pogolotti, member of the direction, declared that the Congress is not an arrival point, but a departure point, a moment of definitions of the coordinates about the role to be played by the writers and artists to make a constant work out of those guidelines.

Pogolotti argue that the creators are not only cultural promoters, but also active and conscious participants in the construction of socialism in Cuba, to give continuity to that high tradition of service vocation and ethical principles of the Cuban intellectuality.

Other members of the executive committee of the UNEAC and presidents of some of the 13 permanent work commissions of the organization announced that many of the most relevant ideas and approaches made by the artists are already under solution; some others are of a bigger assessment by society.

UNEAC is a social selective organization with over 5,000 members, all of them creators, all over the country.
