Electro Acoustic Music Fest in Havana began with the exhibition Digital Art for Spring
Schola Cantorum Coralina, directed by Alina Urraca, is to participate, considered one of the most internationally distinguished Cuban choral groups.

The Association of Electro Acoustic Music of Spain, directed by Gregorio Jimenez, is one of the most important creators of that genre in Europe.

Another excellent concert will be the one by the trio integrated by US violinist Irene Mitri, Canadian Andrew Schloss, known for his experimentation in the high tech interactive computer, and Cuban pianist Hilario Duran.

Mitri is a classically-trained violinist of the orchestra Zarabanda, a group from Seattle, who has played accompanied by Chucho Valdes, the late Richard Egües, Los Van Van directed by Juan Formell and other legends of Cuban music.

Schloss, cofounder of Fundamento Productions, is professor at the Canadian University of Victory and he has published two books on Cuban music: "Sacred Music of Cuba" and "Afrocubanismo."

Duran is considered one of the main jazz pianists and composers in the island. He was awarded Artist of Latin Jazz of the Year in 2006.

Representatives from Costa Rica, Ecuador, Canada, Spain, Lithuania, Ireland, Sweden, France and other countries are participating in the 12th International Festival of Electro acoustic Music "Spring in Havana 2008", to conclude Saturday.
