Wives of two Cuban Antiterrorists, Imprisoned in United States, Arrived at Geneva.
Adriana Pérez and Olga Salanueva, wives of Gerardo Hernández and René González, respectively, will meet with representatives from the United Nations, the Holy See, the World Council of Churches and groups of solidarity.

The wide agenda also includes an encounter with the delegate of International Amnesty in Geneva and press conferences with the credited media in this alternating venue of the UN.

Tomorrow Pérez and Salanueva will upgrade the situation of the Cuban Five, as they are known, who have been imprisoned for almost 10 years in US territory for preventing terrorist activities against Cuba.

On this matter, they will converse tomorrow with Leila Zerruogui, president of the Group of Work of the UN on Arbitrary Detentions, and with the direction of Latin American Commission of Human Rights.

Then they will dialogue with the Apostolic Embassador Silvano Tomassi, permanent observer of the Holy See in Geneva; and with Carlos Ham, Representative of the World Council of Churches.

On Saturday, the wives of Gerardo Hernández (sentenced to double life imprisonment and 15 years) and René González (15 years of hardship of freedom) will move to Berne, where they will have an encounter with members of the Party of the Swiss Work.

Also, in the main Swiss city they will speak with directive of the Association of friendship Switzerland-Cuba and with the president of the group for the freedom of the Cuban Five.

Diplomatic Cuban sources stated that the visit will serve so that Adriana Pérez and Olga Salanueva informs on the reiterated visa denial by the US government to this women that want to visit their husbands.
