The distinguished visitor will stay until next Saturday in Havana where she has witnessed the development of the teaching of arts on the island.
After a visit to the National School of Ballet, Riviere said she was impressed by Cubas achievements in the field of arts.
Her agenda also includes meetings with executives of the national councils of cultural heritage and plastic arts and with representatives of the Cuban Institute of the Film Industry (ICAIC).
According to a press release from the Cuban Culture Ministry, she will also meet with Havana Historian Eusebio Leal and with authorities of the islands Foreign Ministry.
Riviere arrived in Cuba last Tuesday and she has also vosted places such as the School of Art Instructors, the National Museum of Fine Arts, the Ernest Hemingway Museum and the Cuban National UNESCO Commission.
The main goal of this visit is to strengthen cooperation ties between UNESCO and the Cuban Culture Ministry.
