In Uruguay Film Fest ten Cuban movies will compete
Scheduling director Jorge Jellinek said there will be 100 feature, documentaries and shorts presented, making this one of the strongest festivals of the region.

Argentina will present "Encarnación," by Anahi Berneri, "Las vidas posibles," by Sandra Gugliotta, " La Leon," by Santiago Otheguy and "El Asaltante," a first work by Pablo Fendrik.

Brazil will run with "Estomago," "Mutum" and "Perro sin dueño" by Marcos Jorge, Sandra Kogut and Beto Brant, respectively, while Chile will be represented by "Lo bueno de llorar" by Matias Bize.

"La zona" (Rodrigo Pla, Mexico), "Postales de Leningrado" (Mariana Rondón, Venezuela) and "La noche de los inocentes" (Arturo Sotto, Cuba) round off the Latino American participation.

"Yo," "La influencia" and "Escuchando" by young directors Rafa Cortés, Pedro Aguilera and Jose Enrique March are the Spanish movies representing Europe.

Also the film "Siete años" by the French director Jean Pascal Hattu, and "Tarde o Temprano" by the newcomer German director Ulricke Von Ribbeck.

The Chinese film "El Parque" by producer Licuan Yin, will also be in competition.
