In Cuba on February 20 Lunar Eclipse Will Be Seen
Jorge Perez Doval, with the Geophysics and Astronomy Institute of the Ministry of Science, Technology and the Environment said the eclipse will be seen in the rest of the Americas and areas of Africa and Europe.

It is begins at 8:43 p.m. (local time) and reach its total phase between 10:00 and 10:51 p.m., before concluding at just past midnight.

According to Perez Doval the color of the moon during an eclipse depends on the days atmospheric conditions. He said it could turn reddish, orange or very dark, often depending on if there have been recent volcanic eruptions or not.

Another total lunar eclipse will not be seen in Cuba until December 21, 2010, said the expert.
