The ALBA-TCP agreement is a model of integration based on cooperation, solidarity and common willingness to advance to higher levels of development, to satisfy the needs of Latin American and Caribbean nations, and to preserve their independence, sovereignty and identity.

During this summit, representatives from the four members of the organization- Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua and Bolivia - will analyze several cooperation projects and the creation of the Bank of the Bolivarian Alternative for the Americas. They will also discuss the ALBA Cultural Strategic Plan.

Likewise, the permanent venue of this multilateral mechanism will be officially inaugurated in Caracas. In this forum the Dominican Republic will unite to this model of integration.
