Sponsored by the Cuban family of the artist and the gallery that carries his name in the municipality, the public will be able to admire important works, such as Retrato de H. H. and Figura de mujer con manzana, made in a period of intense creative work.
It was in 1942, after he returned from Spain and Paris, where he had relationships with Picasso, Chagall, Braque and Miró, exponents in the main avant-garde of the European plastics and also with the most selected of the letters and thinking.
The rest were made in his second and last stay in Havana, in the zone also belonging to Marianao neighborhood.
The exhibition includes an original graphic impression test, designed for the cover of the book Wifredo Lam, written by the diseased Cuban writer and poet José A. Baragaño.
The collection closes the season organized for the 105 anniversary of the artist, who was born in Sagua la Grande city in the former province of Las Villas.
