A group of dancers from the Cuban National Ballet performed fragments from The Nutcracker at the Hospital of Oncology in Havana
In what has become a habitual act of humanism, the Cuban National Ballet (BNC), directed by Alicia Alonso, once again put on a performance for the children at the Hospital of Oncology in Havana.
The BNC is currently rehearsing for an upcoming presentation of The Nutcracker, as such, several of the dancers came to the hospital in costume and danced exerts from this famous ballet with music written by Tchaikovsky . The dancers also spoke and joked with the children and their families and handed out toys, candies and books.
The BNC will present The Nutcracker next weekend at Havanas Gran Teatro and the last performance will be especially for children.
