English boy grateful to cuban doctors

Blake Ray, a child known at Holguin as el inglesito (the little Englishman), paid a visit to the local pediatric hospital to thank the medical staff who saved his life.

Three years ago, the child came to this eastern province to spend his vacations and upon arrival at the airport he had a serious neurological problem that jeopardized his life. The accurate performance of local authorities and especially the neurosurgeon and IC unit doctors and personnel of the "Octavio de la Concepcion y la Pedraja" children hospital allowed for the salvage of this child's life.

When he returned to his country he followed the treatment suggested by the Cuban Doctors and he completely recovered.

Now he is back, with Brian and Karol, his parents, to greet and to thank those who did not spare neither efforts nor resources to restore his health.

This is another example of the humane and professional skills of Cuban medical staff, our system offers its services to anybody who needs it, no matter where they come from.

Blake Ray is now 11, and he is in seventh grade. He seems to be very happy to return and greet Holguin doctors. At this eastern region, he and his family enjoy the local beach and coastline resorts.
