Orthopedics 2007 Congress in Vinales, Cuba

The Orthopedics 2007 International Congress begins today at several facilities in the picturesque Vinales Valley in the westernmost Cuban province of Pinar del Rio.

Several facilities in the valley will be venues of the event including the recently remodeled local culture center, art gallery, cinema and social club. Vinales Valley was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Dr. Ramon Suarez Junco, president of the provincial Orthopedics center and vice president of the Congress, recognized the support received from local authorities to put on the scientific event that will be held September 17 to 22.

The organizers expect more than 100 foreign delegates from 16 countries and 210 Cuban delegates to attend Orthopedics 2007. Twenty-one companies that make Orthopedics treatment technology have confirmed their presence, sixteen from abroad.

The Congress includes three courses to be taught by professionals from different nations and from the Frank Pais International Orthopedics Complex.
