Over 8,500 medical graduates in Cuba

At least 8,884 health professionals from dozens of countries, including Cuba, will graduate in Cuba on July 24.

These graduations "On the 2007 ALBA Paths 2007" include 2,470 Cuban physicians and are held to mark the 54th anniversary of the attacks on the Moncada and the Carlos Manuel de Cespedes garrisons and the 50th anniversary of the March 13 attack on Batista's Palace, the official explained.

At least 5,000 foreign students have received free training to become physicians at the Latin American School of Medicine (ELAM) in Cuba since 2005.
