About 30 nations will participate in the V International Congress on Renewable Energy, Energy Savings and Energy Education (CIER 2007) to be held in Havana this month.

Sponsored by the Technical University of Renewable Energy (UTER) of the Jose Antonio Echeverria Polytechnical Institute, from May 22 to 25 debates will center on efficiency and energy management, conventional fuels and alternatives as well as distribution of energy.

CIER 2007 will discuss Cuba s experience in the Energy Revolution, with participation of the World Association of Eolic (Wind) Energy, the Mexican Association of Solar Energy, and the center for Renewable Energy from Denmark that shares advances with Germany and Spain in renewable energy measures.
