Wifredo Lam's art works exhibited in Brussels

The Cervantes Cultural Institute, in Brussels, opened an arts exhibition of Cuban painter Wifredo Lam (1902-1982), one of the most outstanding figures of the Surrealism trend in Latin America.
Under the title of Intimate Cartography, the arts exhibition shows the originality and aesthetic findings of the artist, who created "a new pictorial language, in which he mixed up the Afro-Cuban cultural heritage with the European vanguards of the 20th Century", revealed the Cervantes Cultural Institute.
The arts exhibition, that may be visited untill November 8th, is part of the cultural exchange project between Cuba and Spain, supported by cultural institutions such as the Wilfredo Lam Modern Arts Center and the Visual Arts National Council.
