Sur Caribe, the Cuban group shot to fame by the single "Añoranza por la Conga (Yearning for the Conga)" presented the CD "Hey Jude" in this genre on Monday.

In a news conference in Havana, Sur Caribe director Ricardo Leyva stated that the new album retains the Conga while paying tribute to "the four fabulous."

The elegantly white-clad musician, born in the eastern city of Santiago de Cuba, said the premiere of the disc, one of the Beatle's classics, took place last summer in London in a festival attended by 90,000 people.

The new work includes strains similar to that in the hit "Añoranza por la Conga" which, he said, may gain great popularity.

Questioned on future projects, Leyva announced a series of presentations in schools, hospitals, penitentiaries and other institutions catering to people in need.
