 Sandino benefits from the ALBA

There are already 17 construction projects in Bolivar and Marti communities in Sandino municipality, sponsored by the ALBA (Bolivarian Alternative for the Americas), as part of a development process in that region of the province.

Alí Rodriguez Araque, Venezuelan ambassador in Cuba, participated in a rally held in Bolivar community, where seven buses Fiat Iveco were delivered to public service in that territory. Rodriguez highlighted that former dreams of the continent have come true, thanks to the solidarity among various countries.

At the rally, presided by Olga Lidia Tapia Iglesias, member of the Central Committee of the Party and its first secretary in the province, and other leaders of Pinar del Rio, was noted the formation of more than 3 500 Latin American students in Medicine.

The ALBA in that municipality has made possible to improve the development of agriculture, schools, cafeterias, drugstores and even bakeries.

Also at the same rally took place the farewell to the Venezuelan soldiers who along with Cubans have supported the Latin American integration, and the bus drivers were given the keys of the knew vehicles.

The microbuses will cover the routes from Sandino to Isabel Rubio, Sandino to Manuel Lazo and Sandino to Bolivar. In this last settlement some buildings and houses are undergone to a restoration process.

San Jose de las Lajas community, in Havana Province, Baracoa city in Guantanamo, and Venezuela municipality in Ciego de Avila, will also receive the benefits of similar projects.

In December, Cienfuegos refinery should start running, since it has been undergone to repair, included into the ALBA projects.
