Thirty students who are part of the group of 95 Namibian students who are going to study in Cuba at different institutions of higher learning left to that country Tuesday.

The students will travel in four groups, with the first 30 having departed on Tuesday and was accompanied by Nathalia Goagoses, from the Ministry of Education, reported the local news agency Nampa.

Goagoses will remain in Cuba until all 95 students arrive before end of this month.

Speaking to the media at the Hosea Kutako International Airport, Evelio Sanches from the Cuban Embassy said the scholarships are offered by Cuba through collaboration agreements signed between the two countries recently.
