The book fair at the Mexican capital's main square (El Zocalo) concluded on Sunday with the favourable result of consolidating itself as the greatest mass celebration in favour of reading and culture.

The fair had Los Angeles and Havana as guest cities, and gathered not only writers and editors, but also fine arts artists, musicians, and actors.

The popular Historic Center of the Mexican capital and the main square became during ten days the place where thousands of new readers met, giving the fair a mass nature.

Over 20 alternate forums were held under the tents of different publishing houses, in parallel with activities in the Museum of the City, the Spanish Cultural Center, the Fine Arts Palace, and the Ancient Archbishopric College.
