Jacques Rogge, President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has confirmed his attendance at the upcoming 11th Sports for All World Convention, scheduled to begin November 1 in Havana.

Convention organizers confirmed today that Rogge will be arriving next Tuesday, and will be participating in the opening ceremony due to begin at 8.30 a.m. on Wednesday at the Havana Convention Center.

Rogge's agenda in Cuba will include touring historic sites in Old Havana, meeting with the Sports for All Commission of the IOC, and attending a gymnastics festival that will take place at Havana's Ciudad Deportiva sports complex.

A day later, the international sports executive will meet with Cuban authorities and take part in an exchange with sports journalists during a press conference that will mark the end of his visit to Cuba. Rogge will then travel to Jamaica.

The Sports For All World Convention will bring some 1,000 experts together from several countries to exchange points of view about different areas related to the main topic of the convention: Physical Activity: Benefits and Challenges.
