India and Cuba will co-operate in the field of renewable energy. The Sixth Session of the Inter-governmental Commission for Economic, Technical and Scientific Collaboration between both the countries, which recently met in Havana, agreed to renew the protocol of co-operation in the field of Renewable Energy for two more years, i.e 2007-08.

Considering the importance of renewable energy and the development achieved by the two countries, India will arrange a specific training in wind energy for 15 Cuban experts under ITEC Programme. An Indian delegation will visit Cuba to see the area of co-generation using Bagasse by sugar mills.
