In Havana, tickets sale will begin January 4 in bookstores and newsstands for the fair that will be held from February 8 to February 18. Upon its conclusion in the capital, it will move to cities in the western part of the country and move eastward to conclude in Santiago de Cuba.

In Havana, the event will be hosted at its usual venue, the Fortress of San Carlos de la Cabana, at 15 bookstores and the Expocuba and Pabellon de Cuba exhibition centers.

The fair will be devoted to Cesar Lopez, the National Literature Award winner in 1999; and Eduardo Torres, Social Sciences National Award 2000 prize-winner.

Across the country, there will be book presentations at universities and community college centers.

With Argentina being this years guest of honor, some of that nations most outstanding authors are expected to attend.
