Science Advisor to the President of the Cuban State Council arrived in Damascus on an official visit to Syria and was welcomed by Prime Minister Mohamád Nayi Otri.
The Syrian leader expressed satisfaction about the recovery of Cuban President Fidel Castro, and reiterated his government's willingness to further friendship and cooperation with Cuba.
Fidel Castro Díaz-Balart also met with Syrian Vice President Najah al-Attar and with Syrian Information Minister Mohsen Bilal.
