The 3rd CultureMondo Round Table will have a space in the agenda of the 5th International Congress on Culture and Development in session from yesterday at the Havanas Conventions Hall Centre.

Since 2005 CultureMondo, exchange and coordination body, groups European, North American, Latin American, Asian and Oceania digital portals' experts and executives specialized in the diffusion of cultural subjects and interested in the promotion of a multiple and diverse image of the intellectual productions and the artistic and literary patrimony.

The Portal of the Cuban Ministry of Culture will be the host of a meeting with particular emphasis on the needs and potentialities of Latin America and the Caribbean and that will discusss the challenges existing in the promotion of the cultural contents that defend local identities versus the homogenising trend of the global era. The debate starts Tuesday, June 12th, with a panel coordinated by Carlos Mas Zabala (Cuba) and the participation of Alfonso Castellanos (México), Idelsis Gallardo (Cuba), Vladimir Skok (Canadá) and Representatives of the UNESCOs Latin America and the Caribbean Regional Office. The Network Coordinating Group of CultureMondo will meet again on Wednesday, June 13th at the Havanas Conventions Hall Centre to strengthen organizing aspects.
