Cuba's Jazz Band to Malaysian Festival

Habana Sax director and founder Jorge Luis Almeida underscored the welcome offered by the Malaysian public during their presentation in that country, reported journalist Javier Clavelo from Kuala Lumpur.
"We have participated in many jazz festivals around the world, but in Malaysia we were impressed by the warm welcome by the public. Huge screens were set up for those who could not find room inside the theatre", said Almeida.
"The band which is chosen by the public returns to the Festival the next year and we were so lucky to be the ones to return for the upcoming festival", added the Cuban musician.
Habana Sax was one of eight bands from 11 European and African countries, and the United States that offered their music during two evenings at the Miri Festival, attended by more than 4,500 people attended the concerts.
