The Cuban choir Entrevoces, directed by Digna Guerra, won second prize at the 2007 Florilege International Choral Competition, which recently concluded in the city of Tours, France.

The Cuban choir took second position in the category of mixed vocal ensemble and the third prize in the free program. The jury that was made up of prestigious musicians from Hungary, France, China, Luxemburg, Switzerland, Sweden, Argentina and Holland; with the Cuban choir selected from among the 14 groups from 13 countries that attended the event.

The Simon Phipps Vokal Ensemble from Switzerland took the first place in mixed vocal ensembles, and also won the Grand Prix de la Ville de Tours - the highest award in the competition.

Songs from the Cuban traditional repertoire -including El Manicero by Moises Simmons and Que manera de quererte by Luis Rios- were highly welcomed by the audience. Vocal arrangements for the two songs were done by Jorge Martinez, one of the members of Entrevoces.
