Cuban Lazaro Curbelo Pupo set a world record for ball control on Saturday when he managed to kick the ball 23 times while carrying 254 pounds on his shoulders, a feat never attained by an athlete, much less one with a physical disability.
Curbelo, who hails from the town of Caimito, west of Havana, and has been practicing football since he was nine, suffers from a midget condition. At age 21, he is 1.25 meters tall and weighs 80 pounds.
