Cuban refrigerators in Madrid

Half a hundred old refrigerators that Cuban artists turned into art samples titled "Manual de instrucciones" / Manual of instructions will be exhibited at Casa de América of Madrid in February, 2007 as promoters announced today.
The peculiar exhibit composed of 52 U.S.-made fridges in the 1950s will first travel outside Cuba provided it was one of the attractions of the 9th Havana Biennale of the Plastic Arts held last April.
Recognized national artists of the plastic arts like Flora Fong, Nelson Domínguez, Roberto Fabelo, Alexis Leyva (KCHO), Eduardo Roca (Choco) and actor Jorge Perugorría, increasingly getting more and more involved in painting are some of the participants.
