Lisandra Guerra was overcome by Belarussian Natalia Tsylinskaya in the 200m final and Lithuanian Simona Krupeckaite got the bronze.

In the race by points, Cuban Yoanka Gonzalez Melbourne world champion in 2004 was overcome by Italian Georgia Bronzini and the bronze was for Russian Yulia Arustamova.

For his part, Cuban Michel Fernandez, who made his debut, got 11th place in a race won by Russian Ivan Kovalev. Second place was for Australian Mitchell Docker and third for Czech Martin Blaha.

Lisandra Guerra will ride tomorrow in the 500 m competition and will make her debut, together with Yumari, in the Olympic speed competition, while Fernandez will participate in the race by points.

Other Cuban cyclist in the competition are Yasmani Poll, Alexis Sotolongo and Julio Cesar Herrera.
