Cuba will discuss and support cooperation projects during the 13th Conference of Ministers and High Officials of Ibero-american Youth to be held on October 19-20 at the Havana Convention Center.

At the event sponsored by the Ibero-American Youth Organization (OIJ) to discuss meeting this generation s Millennium Goals and identify problems, Cuba will sign accords with the Youth Institutes of Venezuela and Uruguay, informed Cuban Communist Youth first secretary, Julio Martinez.

As other key events on the agenda Martinez mentioned meeting an Ibero-American cooperation program and a panel from the Ibero-American Youth Commission on information and knowledge, where Cuba hopes to sign several accords based on its know-how.

Martinez termed the event a space for the foreign guests to see Cuba's progress in situ and its work with the younger generations, with visits to schools and workplaces.

In addition to Cuban youth s key role in the Battle of Ideas, it leads a group of socio-economic projects to improve the people's quality of life.

The Cuban Youth secretary said the visitors will find a peaceful country at works fulfilling the objectives of President Fidel Castro's July 31 proclamation, during his post-surgical recovery period.
