Cuba in Guatemala Industrial Fair

Cuba has a significant presence in the International Industry Fair INDUEXPO 2007, taking place in this capital Thursday, with the attendance of over 250 national and foreign firms.

 

The Cuban representation has three stands to exhibit several products of companies belonging to the Iron and Steel Industry Ministry (SIME).

 

Among the firms present, there is from the Iron and Steel Industry, ACINOX, which displays bars and steel by-products, the Group of the Automobile Industry, UNECAMOTO, which produces buses, trucks, chassis, spare parts, etc, and EMPAQUE Industrial Group, dedicated to all kinds of metal containers.

 

"We consider Central America and the Caribbean as our natural market and hope to establish deals in exports," SIME representative Angel Lorenzo Turuceta told Prensa Latina.

 

Organizers expect accords valued at some $200 million during the meeting, attended by companies from Mexico, Cuba, Spain, United States, India, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, as well as central American nations, among others.
