Cuba hosts International Phys Ed Summit

Representatives of 15 nations confirmed their attendance at the Regional Summit of the International Society for Comparative Studies on Physical Education and Sports (ISCPES), the organizing committee reported on Thursday.
Organizing committee chair Gladys Becquer told Prensa Latina the participants will be Germany, Australia, Canada, China, Greece, Spain, Guyana, Holland, Caiman Islands, Mexico, Nigeria, Peru, South Africa, Ukraine, Venezuela and host, Cuba.
According to the source, the objective is to encourage scientific and other research on the subject in Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as favoring exchange among experts and associations.
Becquer said the meeting will be held at Plaza America Convention Center in the Varadero beach resort, 87 miles east of Havana.
