Delegation from Panama
The Panamanian Social Development Minister Maria Roquebert is visiting Cuba to examine the course of Cuban support of a literacy program in her country.

Roquebert told Prensa Latina there is an agreement already signed with the Cuban entity that will coordinate ways to move the corresponding materials for the campaign.

This is part of a strategy to combat poverty that President Martin Torrijos has implemented and the agreement will permit advisers travel to Panama on May to set the new project in motion.

The activity will begin in San Miguelito and will be extended all over the country later, as part of Torrijos plan to declare Panama free of illiteracy.
