Special school's teachers from the eastern province of Las Tunas created the first bilingual digital dictionary of the Cuban Sign Language (LSC), local press media highlighted Sunday.

According to the island educational model Beatriz Cespedes and Elizar Rodriguez , interpreter and computing teacher of the Scholl Pelayo Paneque respectively, conceived the sign system multimedia.

With 14 years of experience working with deaf people the young woman created that instrument to help the deaf understanding the meaning of the word in Spanish and the structure of that language.

The teachers shaped the product with photos, video drawing and texts that provides definitions, etymology, synonyms and over 1500 words' particularities chosen from the LSC program.

The LSC-Spanish dictionary will be useful in the classroom and during the students' independent activity, noted specialized criteria mentioned by the sources.
