Cuba appoints ambassador to Namibia

Cuba has appointed Ana Vilma Vallejera Rodriguez as extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to the Republic of Namibia, according to a press release published Wednesday.
Before her appointment, Vallejera Rodriguez was a Sub-Saharan Africa Direction official at the Cuban Foreign Affairs Ministry, Granma daily reports.
Cuba and Namibia established diplomatic relations on March 21, 1990, when the African country reached its independence.
