12th National Festival Ánfora 2006
The Teatro Cubano de la Magia, Camagueys company of magicians won the Great Prize at the 12th National Festival Ánfora 2006, that wound up in Las Tunas city, some 670 kilometres east of Havana - after a week of performances.

The accolade was captured by the Camagüeyan Company for its adult show untitled: Illusions fire and fantasy.

Also from Camaguey the duet Los Velsas, in Great Illusions, and Eduardo Cintras, in card magic tricks, was given the maximum scoring by the jury.

Havana city was another province that won in several categories, represented by the company Sueños Mágicos, winner in the category of show for children, and the illusionists Andrés Fernández and Antonio Saín, in Manipulation and Mentalism, respectively.

Also from the capital of Cuba, Silvia López was awarded in the category General Magic and as best female performer. In Small illusions the winner was the duet Los Dobel, from Las Tunas, while Alexei Pérez, from Sancti Spíritus, was also lucky.

In Las Tunas, over 100 magicians from almost every corner of Cuba participated at the 12th National Festival Ánfora 2006, the most important magic contest held in this Caribbean Island.
