Aleida Guevara, daughter of the famous guerrilla Ernesto Che Guevara, was appointed Distinguished Guest of the Bolivian capital by Mayor Juan del Granado.

The official highlighted the privileged visit of the daughter of the tireless fighter on the 39th anniversary of the last battle headed by Che on October 8.

Similarly he greeted the presence of Rosa Aurora Freijanes, wife of Fernando Gonzalez, one of the five Cuban antiterrorist fighters unjustly imprisoned in the US since 1998.

Aleida and Rosa Aurora are members of a delegation that arrived in Bolivia on September 28 and have visited the cities of Potosi, Sucre and Cochabamba so far.

Accompanied by the Cuban ambassador to that southern nation Rafael Dausa and the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples Director for Latin America Jose Estevez, they met with health, human rights and the Parliamentary League officials.
