Representatives from the first villages founded in Cuba are celebrating their seventh meeting under the sponsorship of Jose Marti Cultural Association in the Cuban province of Sancti Spiritus, which has been dedicated this year to the trova music.

Attendees from Baracoa, Santiago de Cuba, Camaguey, Remedios, Trinidad and Sancti Spiritus oldest Cuban villages have joined the three-day meeting to talk on the permanent links of the Cuban trova and meet with Trinidads artists and historians, among other activities.

The villages representatives to this event made a tour around Sancti Spiritus city and participated in the opening ceremony of an art exhibition in the Colonial Art museum.

The event will close with the performance of local and invited trova musicians.
