Central Durban is set to rumba, samba and salsa to the rhythm of the eighth annual Awesome Africa Music Festival which starts tomorrow and runs until Sunday.

Included in this dynamic array of world talent, headlined by the internationally-acclaimed Afro Cuban All Stars, is a jazz explosion of 13 top groups comprising some of the biggest names in South African jazz, including Jimmy Dludlu, an International "World Music" Focus on Cuba, Brazil, Ghana, India, Mozambique and Namibia which includes an Indian legend celebrating the centenary of the passive resistance movement of Satyagraha.

If that isn't enough, there's also some Indie rock from Australia - all mixed with some of the richest talent that Durban has to offer.

Local performers include Farryl Purkiss, Mageshan Naidoo, Darius Brubeck, Zim Ngqawana, Melvin Peters and Debbie Mari.

For those who want to sip on Havana cocktails, smoke Cuban cigars, dance the salsa, jive to the beat of Brazil and enjoy the very best jazz-fusion sounds, then the unique Latino Evening indoor party at the Durban City Hall is the place to be on Sunday. Gold Circle and reserved seating as well as standing tickets are available from Computicket on 083 915 8000
