This Sunday, March 3, an agreement signed by the governments of Cuba and Mexico on Cooperation, Mutual Administrative Assistance and Exchange of Information in Customs Matters comes into force, the Notimex news agency reported.

The document, issued by the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE), was approved in Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, on April 20, 2018.

With the agreement, both parties are expected to work on "preventing, investigating, punishing and combating any infringement" at the airports of both countries.

Also, it emphasizes that from the entry into force of the information collected may be used "in any administrative or judicial process."
