The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-ALBA-TCP, meeting today at its XV Political Council, ratified in this capital its unity, commitment and solidarity with Venezuela.

Delcy Rodriguez, the chancellor of the South American nation, reported in a conversation with the press that a statement of support of  her country, harassed by serious threats from the Organization of American States (OAS) had come out of the meeting.

According to the Foreign Minister, the "toxic" performance of OAS Secretary General Luis Almagro, to the detriment of Bolivarian independence was categorically rejected as well as the formation of an interventionist plan against Venezuela.

Rodríguez reaffirmed that in this context, the ALBA-TCP peoples accompany Venezuela and advocate for institutionalism within the so-called "colonial ministry".

The Chancellor also confirmed the approval of a declaration to endorse solidarity with Nicaragua, against the interventionist intention of US Congressmen who seek to block that nation economically, with the introduction of the so-called Nica-Act, which opposes the approval of loans to the Nicaraguan government.

During this day, foreign ministers and heads of delegations from the countries that are part of the mechanism, also ratified the final declaration of the XIV ALBA-TCP Extraordinary Summit in Caracas, Venezuela, held in March, and the precepts of the Latin American Proclamation and Caribbean as a Zone of Peace, adopted by the Summit of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) in January 2014.
