First Investment Forum in Cuba will open as part of FIHAV 2016
For the first time in history Cuba will hold an Investment Forum, as apart as the traditional Havana International Trade Fair, in order to attract Direct Foreign Investment (DFI) into the country.
Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment Rodrigo Malmierca will use this Forum to launch the third Investment Portfolio that gathers the interests of Cuba to develop several sectors of the economy.
During the Forum, foreign participants will have the opportunity to hold bilateral meetings with their Cuban counterparts and to learn first-hand the potentials, needs and aspirations each sector has for the short and long term future.
This Forum will run for two days, and it will be a good opportunity for foreign entepreneurs to identify projects and expedite their concretion along their possible Cuban partners.
Meanwhile the Investment Portfolio, as Minister Malmierca announced during the Fair´s opening, will include new areas of interest for the Cuban government, with larger numbers of proposals and amounts of money to be invested.
Every year Cuba has presented this Portfolio to foreign investors, and it is one of the most sought-for moments of the Fair. (acn)
