The University of Holguin, eastern Cuba, announced the second Summer School, a project to be developed this year by that Cuban institution and its German counterpart Magdeburg-Stendal.
International Relations director at the Holguin University, David Almaguer, told reporters that Summer Program will take place October 24-November 3 focusing on organic wastes as major subject.
Participants will acquire experience in the management of landfills, the production of biogas and the collection and recycling of raw materials, according to Almaguer.
All participants interested in joining the program must be higher education graduates with good records in environmental, civil engineering, waste management and biogas production. More information on this event can be found at www.uho.edu.cu.
The University of Holguin is currently considering joint collaboration projects with Brazilian institutions and the UN Development Program.
