Costa Rican President announces visit to Cuba
Costa Rica´s President Luis Guillermo Solis will pay a visit to Cuba December 15 and 16 to further bilateral relations with Havana, the Costa Rican presidency announced.
The visit also aims at exploring opportunities for Costa Rica in the Caribbean area in the social and economic fields, the announcement adds.
During a press conference in the capital San Jose the president said his trip to Cuba will follow a visit to Honduras and then the Summit of Heads of State of the Central American Integration System (SICA by its Spanish acronym) to take place in El Salvador.
Solis said that he expects important advancement in a solution to the Cuban migrants in his country, so he discarded that this could be the main topic of his visit to Havana.
