Raul Castro received, on the morning of November 23, His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, who is on an official visit to the Caribbean island.
During the fraternal meeting, the two leaders spoke about the current state of relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen them. They also talked about other issues on the international agenda.
Accompanying the distinguished visitor were Dr. Khalid Bin Mohammed Al-Attiyah, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Ali Shareef Al-Eimadi, Minister of Finance and Sheikh Abdullah Bin Saud Al-Thani, Governor Central Bank of Qatar, among other top officials.
Cuba was also represented at the meeting by Bruno Rodriguez, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Rodrigo Malmierca, Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment; Lina Pedraza, Minister of Finance and Prices; and Ernesto Medina, Minister President of the Central Bank of Cuba, as well as by other Foreign Ministry officials.
